    What buyers are saying
This bike was a birthday gift for my son's 4th birthday. He has been asking for a big boy bike for a while now so it was time to size up. He did not want a bike with any kind of childish cartoon characters and really likes this BMX styled bike. His last bike was a 12 inch inches which we bought for him last year and he has already outgrown it. This 16 inch bike fits him better and is much better quality. I will never make the mistake of buying a cheap low quality bike again and will be sticking with the Mongoose brand. His last bike we had to replace the tires about 3 months in, and they are already wearing very thin again so I was happy to see the nice big fat tires on this bike. I am hoping they will be longer lasting than the last ones. They definitely look and feel like better quality tires. The Mongoose Lil Bubba 16 inch bike is a sporty looking, eye catching, neon yellow with coordinating blue rims. There is also Lil' Bubba faceplate with the number 16 on the front which adds a bit more style. It really is a great looking bike. This bike has a nice, thick, durable stainless steel frame unlike most of the other bikes I have seen, and it should hold up well under my son's heavy, and sometimes destructive use. We had the bike shipped so we had to put it together ourselves. When we opened the box I was so happy to see the majority of the work is already done. The bike comes partially assembled so it only takes about 15 minutes and you are ready to ride. Instructions are well written and easy to follow. This bike does come with training wheels. My son still currently needs training wheels so that was a plus for us. His last bike also has training wheels but they were very poor quality. They were bent after the first couple of rides. Again t these training wheels are better quality and do not bend as easily so they should last until your little one is ready to take the plunge and balance the bike on his own. One thing it does not have that I would like to have seen is a kick stand. When the training wheels come off there is nothing to keep the bike upright. The handlebars have a bright orange rubber grip for better control and to help keep sweaty hands from slipping. The seat is adjustable with a high quality padded cushioning with black, orange and yellow flames. From top to bottom this is an extremely well made bike that is sure to make any little kid happy.
