I personally dont ride scooters (I am a 40 year old mom), but I have a 10.75 year old son. I bought my son a scooter when he was 5 or 6 (not a Fuzion scooter) yet for the past few years, he hasnt been interested in riding his scooter at all, completely abandoning it and spending as much time as I will allow him in front of the TV playing his beloved, addicting video games. When I wont let him play on his xBox, my son occasionally rides his bike or skateboards but his scooter has literally been collecting dust for at least 2 years now. When I was given the opportunity to receive a free Fuzion Pro X-5 scooter in exchange for an honest review, I jumped at the chance. I hoped this scooter might lure my son away from his electronics and get him outdoors more.....IT DID!!!!!!!!!! When the Pro X-5 scooter arrived, I realized that Id need to put it together. Although the Pro X-5 comes in 2 pieces, most of it pre-assembled, I am not handy so I procrastinated on putting it together, dreading the daunting process I envisioned. Eventually I did find a period of time to sit down and tackle the, ťassembly project, selecting a night that Id have a few hours of peace and quiet to focus on the assembly. I laugh now as I type this because it literally took 3 or 4 minutes to put this scooter together! Total! All you need is an Allen Wrench and if youre like me and dont know what that is, do not worry because the scooter come with one! Actually, there were TWO Allen Wrenches in the bag with my instruction booklet so everyone gets at least one! Honestly, I cannot even express how easy it was to assemble! If I could put this scooter together, ANYONE can do it! When I showed my son his new, assembled scooter his 1st remark was regarding the deck. He was impressed with it, telling me about the non-skid material, comparing it to some of the better skateboard decks he reads about in magazines. He was also intrigued with the feel of the scooter, commenting on how much sturdier it is compared to the other scooters hes seen or ridden (including the scooter he used to ride but now collects dust in my garage). I should also mention that the scooter is sturdy and solid yet it is not heavy. Basically, the Fuzion Pro X-5 is a high quality scooter. I have not done any research on Fuzion scooters but based solely on what I have seen and felt, I know that this is a top-of-the line scooter. Its obvious that this scooter was not made with inexpensive scrap metal (or whatever is used to make the rickety scooters I see/hear the kids riding around my neighborhood. My son and I both love the colors, especially the wheels. The part of the wheel that touches the ground is black but the part that spins is a brilliant, sparkling, metallic blue which stand out and gives the scooter a personality. The handlebars are covered with grips and according to my son, the brakes work perfectly. Neither my son nor I have anything negative to say about this scooter! The best thing about this scooter is that my son loves riding it! He says its, ťmuch cooler than any other scooter hes seen or tried to ride and he is motivated to learn how to do tricks on it. Although video games are still his #1 hobby, thanks to the Fuzion Pro X-5 my son has been playing outside again and not only when I force him to get off his video games!
